SCOPE OF WORKS
Convil Group was engaged by Willoughby City Council to deliver the design and construction of the Willis Courts Futsal Court Upgrade in Middle Cove.
The project involved renewing two futsal courts through the installation of reinforced concrete base slabs, upgraded synthetic playing surfaces, and an improved drainage system to provide a durable, high-performance recreational facility.
The scope of works included:
- Coordination with engineering consultants to design the reconstruction of the Futsal Courts within the constraints of existing site conditions.
- Remove and recycle existing 1074sqm of synthetic turf and subsurface layers.
- Remove and remesh 460sqm of chainwire fence mesh.
- Install a sub-surface stormwater drainage system including 1074sqm of drainage cells and 64m of ACO drains to collect water and convey runoff to a new sandstone headwall.
- Construct 1074sqm reinforced concrete base slab.
- Raise the concrete kerb around the perimeter of the court.
- Install 1074 sqm of FIFA-certified turf and shockpad system with Brockfill infill.
