SCOPE OF WORKS
Cumberland City Council had contracted Convil Group to undertake remediation of failed netball courts pavements and revitalisation, including extensive landscaping works and construction of a new amenities building.
The scope of works included:
- Demolish 1800sqm of asphalt netball surfacing.
- Remediate the soft subgrade, including excavation of the subgrade and replacing with 210T of engineered fill material.
- Extensive stormwater drainage installations to channel and direct stormwater around the new multilayered netball park layout, including trench grates, stormwater pits, pipes, and ag-lines.
- Place and arrange 169 2m-sandstone logs to construct a 3-course retaining wall.
- Construct a 1632sqm concrete slab for the netball courts.
- Install a 1632sqm Plexipave acrylic surfacing system with hoops and chainwire fencing.
- Construct concrete staircases and footpaths.
- Install street furniture, handrails, and drinking fountains.
- Installation of 2712 plants to mass planting areas.
- Construct a toilet amenity building including water, electricity, and sewer services and connections.
