SCOPE OF WORKS
Blue Mountains City Council engaged Convil Group to deliver road safety improvements at two key locations along Hat Hill Road, Blackheath. The project enhanced safety for motorists, pedestrians, and public transport users through intersection upgrades, traffic calming measures, and road widening works, while improving drainage and roadside infrastructure.
The scope of works at Hat Hill Road and Wentworth St intersection are:
- Construct new roundabout and traffic islands.
- Construct concrete speed humps.
- Realign the kerb & gutter to suit the new roundabout installation.
- Adjust the stormwater system to improve runoff management.
- Construct new concrete footpaths, bus stop, and associated concrete works.
The scope of works at the Hat Hill Road bend included:
- Clear, grade and batter to prepare for road widening.
- Construct 14/7mm 2-coat spray seal to extend the shoulders.
- Install W-Beam Guardrail barriers.
- Shape and turf swales along the perimeter of the road.
