SCOPE OF WORKS
Northern Beaches Council has awarded Convil Group with a project for the construction of multiple traffic calming facilities including roundabouts, pedestrian crossings, speed humps, and intersection upgrades under the “Safer Neighbourhoods Program” which aims to improve traffic flow, safety, and mobility at Mona Vale and Narrabeen.
The scope of work for this project includes:
- Construct 7 roundabouts and related blister islands, kerb & gutter, pram ramps and footpaths.
- Construct 12 raised pedestrian crossings and related blister islands, kerb & gutter, pram ramps and footpaths.
- Construct 2 asphalt flat-top speed humps.
- Construct refuge and splitter islands at 3 sites.
- 1 intersection upgrade at Carpenter Crescent & Hunter St including realignment of kerb & gutter, construction of dish drains, pram ramps, and islands, and turfing. Includes construction of 2x bus stops.
- Modify existing stormwater drainage infrastructure at Hunter St Intersection and Melbourne Ave Intersection, including constructing and adjusting stormwater pits.
- Landscaping works and turf installation.
- Asphalt speed zone stamping works.
- Install all signage and linemarking.
